Heal your relationship
Family therapy
Ninety minutes with the whole family in the room, and a therapist who treats the family system as the client.
When one person has been holding the whole family
Every family has someone who keeps it running: the one who remembers, mediates, drives, listens and absorbs. If that is you, you may have stopped noticing how heavy it is until something gives.
Family therapy asks a different question than who is to blame. Charli works from Systems Theory, which treats the family as a connected whole. What one person does changes what everyone else does, so the family system is the client, not the child, the parent or the one who made the call.

How a ninety-minute session works
A family therapy session with Charli Wright, MA, LMFT runs 90 minutes and costs $250. Families come together to the same session, so everyone is in the room at once rather than hearing it secondhand.
Most sessions are virtual, and Charli is licensed to see residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey and Pennsylvania from her Charlotte practice. In North Carolina, she can also come to your home as the practice's Travel Therapist: $250 virtual, $300 in-home.
The approach is the same one behind her couples work, systemic and non-judgmental, with attention to the whole person and the whole family.
What changes, and when to come back
Families usually come in because something has become hard to talk about. The work is to make it possible to talk about it, together, in a room where nobody has to defend themselves first.
Families come back at the edges of change: a loss, a move, a new season in the household, or the moment the old pattern returns. Coming back is not starting over. It is using what the family already knows.
If you are the one holding it all, you can also begin on your own. Call (267) 536-2554 or book the free 15-minute consultation, and we will help you work out who should be in the room.
